Who we are

Preston Women's Refuge was formed as an organisation in 1994. We are a registered charity (number 1061953) as well as being a company limited by guarantee (number 3289949).

We provide a range of services (more details of these can be found in Services and currently employ 20 paid staff (working a range of hours) and we currently have 20 volunteers.  We also have four MA Student Social Workers from the University of Central Lancashire on a 100 day placement with us and two BA first year students on a 20 day placement with us.

We are always looking for new ways to give women experiencing domestic violence more support.   We also now support male victims with some of our serv ices.
