PWR wins the Lottery!

Brilliant News!

Preston Women's Refuge has been awarded a grant of £500,000 by the Big Lottery Fund for a project called the Live In Hope Project.

This grant is over four years and will fund:

  • The HOPE Centre
  • Our volunteering project
  • A Multi-Lingual Outreach Worker

Valerie Wise, Director of Preston Women's Refuge said:  "We are absolutely delighted to have been awarded this grant by the Big Lottery Fund. This is a real life saver for Preston Women's Refuge and means we will be able to continue vital services for women and children who are the victims of domestic violence. The money means we will be able to keep open our very successful Drop In Centre - The HOPE Centre, continue our volunteering project and support more women from the Black and Minority Ethnic Community by employing a specialist outreach worker."
